Nova Communications is proud to be one of over a million businesses in 176 countries which are ISO 9001 registered for quality.
The company received its registration in 2001 and recently registered to the ISO9001:2008 standard. The ISO9001:2008 standard is the highest level of certification available.
“This permits up to carry out design, installation and maintenance of telecommunications equipment,” says Klaus Baumgartner, Quality Manager.
The standards are based on eight Quality Management Principles, which are aligned with the philosophy and objectives of most quality award programs. These principles are:
- Customer focus
- Involvement of people
- Process approach
- System approach to management
- Continual improvement
- Factual approach to decision making
- Mutually beneficial supplier relationship
Among the system’s key elements is developing a “process approach”, which is a way of obtaining a desired result by managing activities and related resources as a process. A process is almost any activity or operation which generates a product or provides a service.
These processes play a significant role in providing customers with a consistent level service.
“From a customer satisfaction standpoint, the ISO standard gives them a guarantee of getting satisfied regardless of where they purchased their products and services,” says Baumgartner.
The ISO 9001 Standard can be used for certification or registration and contractual purposes by organizations seeking recognition of their quality management system. The system has been organized in a user-friendly format with terms that are easily recognized by all business sectors.
